Saxilby Golf Society made the first of there two Annual trips to the Lincoln Golf Club for the prestigious Members Cup.
For the first time in Society History the competition was sponsored by Just Audi VW and we send or sincere thanks to them for this.
Fortunately the forecast of heavy rain didn’t materialise but the strong swirling winds made conditions difficult for all the players.
That is apart from Gary Lamb who is certainly benefiting from playing golf on a regular basis. Playing with the Captain he chopped the rest to the field to pieces scoring 43 points Runners Up spot with 35 points with Les Ellis scoring a Society best 34 points to take third place. Lee Hayward edge out Neil Houghton for 4th on card countback.
The nearest pins went the way of Gary Benson, Neil Houghton and Captain Geoff Rippon while President Alf Shaw achieved the only two ball of the day. He also took the best back nine prize a feat John Brogan made for the front nine.
After a fish & chip supper .served up by the Catering Manager Sue. Captain Rippon handed the prizes out to the successful players on the day.
